Katelyn B. Parker

I didn’t always know that I wanted to be an attorney, but after participating in debate in high school and college, I discovered my love of research and reasoned argument. After completing my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano and Clarinet Performance, I attended law school at Baylor University.

I originally had a negative image of family law, envisioning couples determined to make the other party as miserable as they were, and I wanted no part of that world. However, over my five years of practice before starting One Accord Legal, I came to realize that there are many people searching for a family law attorney who can help them reach solutions, rather than ignite a war. My goal is to guide families through their legal disputes in a way that brings peace and a fair resolution to all parties.

My first job was in a general practice firm, where I practiced personal injury, employment, breach of contract, and probate in addition to family law. This broad base has given me valuable experience in the courtroom and means I can spot issues in other areas that may arise during a divorce. I work with attorneys in a variety of practice areas, including criminal defense, probate, estate planning, and personal injury, to ensure that all of your legal needs are met.

In addition to traditional areas of family law, I keep up to date with novel areas of the law, including embryo donation, embryo adoption, and disputes over embryos in the context of divorce.

Personal Interests

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, riding my electric bike, running, visiting Denver’s local coffee shops, and hiking.

As a paralegal, my role in the legal process is “behind the scenes.” You will find me in the middle of your financial disclosures, drafting and filing documents, and in the small but significant details of the everyday workings of your case.

I received my Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Historical Musicology, but while I was in graduate school, I had a group of friends who were all in law school and made me interested in the field. Music is still a large part of my life, but when the opportunity presented itself to work in law, I chose to follow this new passion.

I have a passion for helping clients navigate what can be an overwhelming process. When I began working for Katelyn in 2021 at One Accord Legal, I quickly fell in love with One Accord Legal’s vision: pursuing peace and reconciliation while advocating for justice and the client’s holistic wellbeing. I am honored and privileged to walk through this process with you, and hope that your interactions with me leave you feeling confident and at peace.
